Gyeonggi-do Extends Application for Farmers and Fishermen Opportunity Income Until the End of This Month... 150,000 KRW per Month
Gyeonggi Province is extending the application deadline for the 'Opportunity Income for Farmers and Fishermen' program until the 31st of this month.
The Opportunity Income for Farmers and Fishermen is a project that provides monthly payments of 150,000 KRW (1.8 million KRW annually) in local currency to about 17,700 young farmers and fishermen (under 50 years old), returnee farmers and fishermen (those who have returned within the last 5 years), and environmentally friendly farmers and fishermen (certified in eco-friendly, animal welfare, premium fisheries, etc.) this year.
Opportunity Income is a flagship policy of Gyeonggi Province Governor Kim Dong-yeon, designed to compensate for income over a certain period to those who create value in our society but do not receive fair rewards, thereby providing them with more opportunities.
Due to the autumn harvest season, Gyeonggi Province has decided to uniformly extend the application deadline for the Opportunity Income for Farmers and Fishermen, which previously varied by city and county, until the 31st to accommodate young farmers, returnee farmers, and environmentally friendly farmers who missed the initial application period.
The cities and counties eligible for the Opportunity Income for Farmers and Fishermen this year are Yongin, Hwaseong, Siheung, Paju, Gwangju, Yangju, Icheon, Pocheon, Yangpyeong, and Gapyeong?10 in total.
Farmers and fishermen who applied for the Basic Income for Farmers (50,000 KRW per month) in the first half of this year must apply separately for the Opportunity Income to receive it.
