Yeongdeungpo-gu (District Mayor Choi Ho-kwon) announced that an outdoor library will be operated in Dangsan Park located in Dangsan 1-dong on October 26.
This event is hosted and organized by the Yeongdeungpo branch of the Seoul Credit Guarantee Foundation and planned as part of the alleyway commercial district revitalization support project. The Dangsan Park outdoor library aims to attract residents' visits to invigorate the nearby commercial district and operate as a cultural space that people of various ages can enjoy.
The outdoor library will be open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on October 26, featuring books from various fields suitable for different age groups. Residents can freely take and read books from the shelves set up in the park without any separate borrowing procedures, and they are also allowed to bring their own personal books.
For visitors' convenience, the district will provide free rentals of shade tents, chairs, mats, and children's play equipment, creating a cultural and play space that families can enjoy together.
Additionally, various experiential programs such as 'Caricature' and 'Flower Art' will offer rich play experiences.
An authentication event to revitalize the alleyway commercial district will also be held. Those who certify purchases of 10,000 KRW or more at least twice within the Dangsan 1-dong alleyway commercial district will receive a YDP limited item package. Customers can choose one item between pet clothing or a canvas bag, and the package also includes items such as a pill case, character keyring, and magnet. The event will end on a first-come, first-served basis.
Event applications are only recognized at designated consumption locations within the 'Dangsan 1-dong alleyway commercial district' and can be applied for through the Dangsan 1-dong alleyway commercial district website. For more details, inquiries can be made to the district office's Regional Economy Division or the Yeongdeungpo branch of the Seoul Credit Guarantee Foundation.
