Yang Soo-hyun, Mayor of Yangju City, held a meeting titled "Youth Voices with the Mayor, Discussing the Future of Yangju City" on the 21st to listen to and communicate with young people's opinions.
Yangju City in Gyeonggi Province (Mayor's Meeting) announced on the 23rd that on the 21st, it held a meeting titled ‘Voices of Youth with the Mayor, Discussing the Future of Yangju City’ at the Yangju Youth Center, where Mayor Kang Su-hyun and young people listened to each other's opinions and communicated.
This meeting was held as part of the Youth Week event commemorating the 5th anniversary of the opening of the Yangju Youth Center, with Mayor Kang Su-hyun and about 50 local youths attending.
At this event, it became a time to directly hear the various concerns currently faced by young people and their opinions on youth policies they wish to see implemented, and to seek solutions.
The event began with a sweet performance by the youth musician group AS Clarinet Choir. Discussions were held on various topics suggested by the youth, including ▲public transportation ▲youth organization management ▲jobs ▲environment ▲vocational education.
Mayor Kang Su-hyun of Yangju City said, “Just as the voices and participation of citizens are the driving force behind policy implementation, strong interest and participation from young people are essential for youth policies as well. If the youth who will lead the future of Yangju City actively unite their intentions, Yangju City will also strive to respond to their opinions.”
