Considered one of the honeymoon dream destinations for newlyweds, the Bahamas attracts over 10 million tourists annually.
Nassau, where the store is located, is the representative city of the Bahamas, home to about 70% of the country's total population. BBQ opened this store targeting local residents as well as tourists visiting the Bahamas.
Since its soft opening, the BBQ Carmichael Branch has attracted many travelers and locals alike, drawing crowds that often have to line up to eat.
The store offers a variety of menus including chicken dishes such as Golden Fried and seasoned chicken, as well as K-food like kimchi fried rice and tteokbokki. It is also notable for serving 'Conch,' a traditional Bahamian dish made from large sea snails.
A BBQ representative said, "As a brand representing K-food, BBQ has become the first Korean chicken franchise to open a store in the Bahamas. Considering the characteristics of countries adjacent to Central America, we plan to accelerate expansion throughout Latin America, including the Bahamas."
