Gyeongnam Jeongbo University and 6 Local Companies Sign Agreement for 'Regional Settlement-Type International Student Employment Cooperation'
Gyeongnam Information University signed a business agreement on the 22nd with six companies in the Busan area to promote employment for international students who settle in the region.
At the signing ceremony, representatives from six local companies?▲Mojon Machinery (CEO Baek Gi-seok), ▲Jeongmin Electronics (CEO Kim Jeong-sang), ▲Wongwang Valve (CEO Kim Jae-bong), ▲Shinhwa High Tech (CEO Song Seong-su), ▲Jinil Bend (CEO Ryu Jae-su), and ▲Beom-A Unitech (CEO Park Jeong-dae)?gathered with Gyeongnam Information University President Kim Tae-sang and officials from each institution to unite their intentions for international student employment and nurturing talent who settle in the region.
Through the agreement, Gyeongnam Information University and the six companies agreed to explore various cooperative measures for cultivating foreign international students who settle in the region, including developing customized curricula, providing facility and technical support, offering field training, and conducting education for current employees.
The company representatives attending the event unanimously stated, “There is a severe labor shortage, and there are too few workers available on site,” adding, “We will strive to make this a ‘win-win program’ where companies and universities jointly nurture the talent needed and connect them to employment.”
