Employment Special Lectures, Mentoring, Company Visits, and Work Experience: Connecting Employment and Entrepreneurship
The Yangsan Branch of the Ministry of Employment and Labor (Branch Chief Kwon Gu-hyung) held the ‘Youth Future Job Connection Business Agreement Ceremony’ at the Gimhae Employment Center on the 22nd.
Representatives from five organizations, including the Gyeongnam Culture and Arts Promotion Agency, Gimhae Bio-Industry Promotion Agency, Gimhae Social Economy Support Center, Busan Overseas Employment Center, and Inje University Regional Safety and Health Support Center, attended the ceremony.
The ‘Youth Future Job Connection Project’ is a program initiated by the Yangsan Branch, the first of its kind nationwide, addressing the recent continuous increase in ‘resting youth’ by identifying the lack of jobs desired by young people as the main cause.
This project selects five occupational fields preferred by youth and with high industrial demand (content culture, bio-life, social venture, overseas employment, safety and health) and is jointly promoted with local job-related organizations in these fields.
The agreement organizations will cooperate to provide youth with a realistic understanding of the professional world through special lectures on successful employment and entrepreneurship or expert mentoring in each occupational field, and offer opportunities such as company visits and work experience to help lead to actual employment or entrepreneurship. First, on the 31st, an ‘Overseas Employment Live Briefing’ will be held both online and offline (at Inje University Hero Studio), featuring an introduction to the government’s overseas employment support project and mentor lectures.

Branch Chief Kwon Gu-hyung stated, “Employment and entrepreneurship institutions will work together to provide customized career and employment support tailored to the characteristics of each occupational field and the needs of demanders through collaboration and joint efforts,” adding, “Based on the results of this project, we plan to expand to other occupational fields in the future.”
