The Homibando Coastal Trail is a scenic walking path along the coast stretching 58.3 km from Cheongnim Elementary School to Janggi Duwon-ri, where visitors can enjoy pristine natural landscapes.

Participants in the event can walk a section of the trail from Course 1’s Dogu Beach to Course 4’s Homigot Square during November. By collecting one mobile stamp from each of the four courses, a total of four stamps, they will receive a commemorative gift.

The mobile stamps can be obtained by downloading the ‘Stamp Tour’ app.

Side events include the ‘Walk Together Event’ and the ‘Group Volunteer Support Event for Trash Picking.’

The ‘Walk Together Event’ is designed for individual participants who may feel uncomfortable walking alone. It will be held twice on November 9 and 23, recruiting 30 people per session to walk together from Dogu Beach to Heunghwan Simple Beach. Applications are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis until the 25th.

The ‘Group Volunteer Support Event for Trash Picking’ provides shuttle vehicles and trash bags to groups volunteering to pick up trash along the coastal trail. Applications are open throughout November.

Applications can be submitted by scanning the QR code labeled ‘Go to Application Form’ on the poster or by calling the Tourism Industry Division of Pohang City Hall.

For more detailed inquiries, please refer to the ‘Events’ board on the Pohang Travel website.

Yoon Cheon-su, head of the Tourism Industry Division, said, “Autumn is the best time to enjoy Homibando, the easternmost tip of the Korean Peninsula. This year, we have prepared special events so that more tourists and citizens can enjoy the Homibando Coastal Trail, and we hope for active participation.”
