Senko Obtains KOLAS Accreditation as an Official Calibration Institution
Senco, a specialist company in electrochemical gas sensors, announced on the 18th that it has been recognized as an accredited calibration institution for 'gas analyzers' by the Korea Laboratory Accreditation Scheme (KOLAS) under the National Institute of Technology and Standards.
KOLAS is an organization responsible for establishing and verifying the national standard system, recognized for the reliability of accredited testing and calibration institutions. It mutually accepts accredited certificates with countries worldwide registered in the Asia Pacific Accreditation Cooperation (APAC), the International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC), and the International Accreditation Forum (IAF).
The KOLAS accredited calibration institution system officially approves the testing capabilities by evaluating the management system and technical competence of calibration institutions that comply with legal or international standards. This certification covers devices handling six types of gases: oxygen, carbon dioxide, hydrogen sulfide, methane, and hydrogen.
The KOLAS accredited calibration institution status obtained by Senco signifies that it is an institution equipped with calibration capabilities in specific fields stipulated by relevant laws and standards. The KOLAS accreditation is regarded as an important indicator of a company's technological capability and reliability. Through this, calibration certificates issued by Senco will be internationally recognized in 116 regions worldwide. Going forward, Senco can provide calibration certificates with verified reliability to companies requesting them within the recognized scope.
Furthermore, Senco, which supplies various gas detectors and gas sensors to the global market, has solidified its technological prowess through this certification. Based on this, Senco plans to provide calibration certificates with proven reliability within the accredited scope.
Ha Seung-cheol, CEO of Senco, stated, "This KOLAS certification is an important achievement securing Senco's technological superiority in the global market," adding, "Through this, we plan to expand the accredited calibration institution calibration business in addition to issuing certificates for our electrochemical sensor products."

Meanwhile, Senco recently secured China Explosion-proof Certification (CNEx) and Performance Certification (CPA), completing the establishment of a nationwide sales network through Chinese partners, and mentioned plans to primarily sell portable gas detectors.
