BPA Selects ‘Bukhang Marina’ as Grand Prize Winner of Busan-Style Architecture Awards

Busan Port Authority (BPA, President Kang Jun-seok) announced on the 17th that the 'Bukhang Marina,' built and operated in the Bukhang redevelopment area, received the grand prize at the '2024 Busan-Style Architecture Awards.'
The Busan-Style Architecture Awards are given by the Busan Metropolitan City to outstanding architectural works that contribute to the development of local architecture and the enhancement of urban landscapes.
Bukhang Marina was promoted as one of the key projects of the Bukhang redevelopment project, serving as a hub for marine activities centered around Busan Port.
With seven floors above ground and a total floor area of 24,096.69㎡, Bukhang Marina created value beyond a simple yacht mooring facility and architecturally realized a sustainable and future-oriented Bukhang redevelopment project.
Busan Port Authority is striving to revitalize Busan's marine industry and provide a complex cultural space for citizens through Bukhang Marina. The survival swimming pool and diving pool, opened last year, are currently operating successfully.
Busan Port Authority plans to develop Bukhang Marina as an open public facility that both Busan citizens and domestic and international visitors can enjoy. It will gradually create a space where citizens can enjoy marine activities and leisure by including cultural facilities and commercial spaces inside the marina.
