Jang Se-il, the 52nd mayor of Yeonggwang County, who took office through the October 16 by-election, began his duties for the residents on the 17th after receiving his certificate of election by signing the ‘Integrity Pledge.’
The anti-corruption and integrity pledge, which Mayor Jang Se-il started as his first official act upon taking office, is a commitment to serve as a model in creating a fair and just society through honest work attitudes and eradication of corruption as a public official of Yeonggwang County.
Specifically, it includes ▲ compliance with laws and principles as a public official ▲ fair and transparent handling of duties ▲ actively reporting matters that undermine fairness and integrity ▲ prohibition of accepting money and entertainment, and mandatory compliance with the code of conduct for public officials.

Mayor Jang Se-il of Yeonggwang County said, “We will prioritize the livelihood and welfare of the people by steadily promoting the promises made to the residents of Yeonggwang, such as the introduction of basic income, the establishment of an RE 100 industrial complex, and the construction of a carbon-free energy demonstration complex.
