Mayor Hong stated, “At the beginning of the 8th local government term, the Changwon nuclear industry ecosystem was losing vitality due to the impact of the nuclear phase-out policy. However, as nuclear power is being re-evaluated worldwide as a carbon-free energy source, and with the export of nuclear power plants to the Czech Republic opening the door for K-Nuclear Power’s entry into the European market, the Changwon nuclear industry is dreaming of a re-advancement.” He added, “Changwon City will become the world’s best nuclear equipment manufacturing city in the future nuclear market.”
