On the 16th, Superintendent Lim attended the '2024 Second Half Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Digital Education Policy Training' held at the Southern Office of the Suwon Provincial Office of Education, stating, "The era of artificial intelligence (AI) and digital technology is an unstoppable trend, so the educational field in Gyeonggi Province is actively adopting it."
He added, "We have independently developed the AI teaching and learning platform 'Hi-Learning' and provide one smart device per student starting from the third grade of elementary school, enabling personalized lessons for students."
He also emphasized, "In addition to special training to strengthen teachers' capabilities, we are expanding the boundaries of public education by establishing the 'Gyeonggi Online School' to ensure that even students outside of school are not excluded from education."
Furthermore, he said, "From December 2nd to 4th, UNESCO and the Provincial Office of Education will jointly hold the 'UNESCO International Forum on the Future of Education,' adding, "Education is a common global challenge, and I hope that through education, a foundation will be established for the global community to develop together."
