Gwangju Transportation Corporation received the Prime Minister's Award in the 2024 'Central and Public Institution Disaster Management Evaluation.'
In this evaluation conducted by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety targeting 332 institutions nationwide, including central government departments, public institutions, and local governments, the corporation was selected as the best institution for its excellent performance in disaster management policy implementation and disaster situation management response systems. Notably, it achieved outstanding results in areas such as the operation of crisis management response manuals and rapid response capabilities during emergencies, as well as in the implementation of safety policies. The institution's head was also recognized for their crisis response capabilities.
This year, the corporation has consecutively proven its top-level disaster management capabilities nationwide by being selected as an 'Excellent Institution in Disaster Response Safety Korea Training' hosted by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, and as the 'Best Institution in Risk Assessment Presentation Competition' hosted by the Ministry of Employment and Labor.
