9th Yangsan City Community Child Center Day
Yangsan City in Gyeongnam held the '9th Yangsan City Community Child Center Day' event at the main stadium of Yangsan Sports Complex on the 12th, hosted by the Community Child Center Association.
Community Child Centers are child welfare facilities that provide comprehensive welfare services such as after-school care and educational support for the healthy development of children in the local community. Currently, there are 19 centers in Yangsan City, serving about 560 children.
This year marks the 9th edition of the event, with around 490 participants including children who use the centers and staff members. The event featured commendations and plaques of appreciation for contributors to child welfare and exemplary children, as well as a cheerful sports day, K-pop & Culture concert, and various other activities to help children discover their dreams and talents.
An official from Yangsan City said, "We are grateful to the staff of the Community Child Centers who work hard to help children nurture their dreams and grow in a safe care environment," adding, "We will continue to pay attention and make efforts so that children, the future leaders, can live happily and thrive."
