Discussion on Facilitating E-commerce and Revitalizing Data Business with the EU
Official Negotiations for the 6th Digital Trade Agreement Held in Seoul from the 15th to 17th
The Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy's Trade Negotiations Headquarters announced on the 14th that the 6th official negotiation of the Korea-European Union (EU) Digital Trade Agreement (DTA) will be held in Seoul from the 15th to the 17th, with government delegations from both sides participating.
Based on the Korea-EU Digital Trade Principles agreed upon during the Korea-EU Trade Committee in November 2022, both sides aim to establish high-level digital trade norms. Since the declaration to commence negotiations on the Korea-EU Digital Trade Agreement in October last year, five rounds of negotiations have been held. In this 6th round, discussions on each clause will continue based on previous negotiation outcomes to seek ways to advance the talks.
