Ahead of Kimjang Season, Residual Pesticide Inspection on Cabbage and Radish... Nonggwanwon Conducts Safety Planning Survey
The National Agricultural Products Quality Management Service announced on the 14th that it will conduct a 'Safety Planning Survey' to ensure the safe supply of kimchi vegetables during the kimchi-making season.
This survey will be conducted for seven weeks from the 15th of this month until the 30th of next month. A total of 700 samples will be collected and analyzed, focusing on major production areas of kimchi vegetables such as napa cabbage, radish, chili peppers, garlic, and mustard greens.

View original imageThe sample analysis will test for residues of more than 463 types of pesticide components, and any agricultural products found to exceed the permissible limits will be prevented from circulating in the market through measures such as shipment delays or disposal at the production sites.
Additionally, the National Agricultural Products Quality Management Service is making efforts to ensure the safe cultivation and supply of agricultural products by guiding farms with non-compliant cases on how to verify usable pesticides by item, dilution ratios, spraying methods, and overall safe pesticide usage standards.
