Lee Jae-myung, leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, strongly criticized Kim Moon-soo, Minister of Employment and Labor, and Kim Kwang-dong, chairman of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission, who have been embroiled in controversy over the New Right historical perspective, saying, "Are you crazy?" during the National Assembly audit.

He continued, "Are you crazy?" and emphasized, "The public's patience is reaching its limit."
Lee stated, "The pro-Japanese New Right virus that undermines the nation's legitimacy must be completely eradicated from public office," and added, "President Yoon Seok-yeol must immediately dismiss officials who repeatedly make unacceptable remarks to the public and officially apologize."
Lee also called for the prompt passage of the 'Anti-Pro-Japanese Personnel Act' (Special Act on Prohibition of Appointment of Persons Who Deny the Constitution and Distort History to Public Office), proposed by the Democratic Party. The Anti-Pro-Japanese Personnel Act, introduced by Democratic Party lawmaker Kim Yong-man in August, is a bill to establish a 'Committee for the Prevention of Constitutional Denial and Historical Distortion' to review and manage appointments, preventing individuals who glorify or justify pro-Japanese and anti-national acts from holding public office. Currently, the bill remains in the National Assembly's standing committee.
