Woori Financial Group Provides Free Wedding Hall and 3 Million KRW Ceremony Support for Low-Income Newlyweds
Woori Financial Group announced on the 14th that the first couple to use the 'Woori WON Wedding Hall' was born on the 13th, when the wedding hall at Woori Financial headquarters in Jung-gu, Seoul was provided free of charge for the wedding of newlyweds from vulnerable groups.
The Woori WON Wedding Hall program is a free wedding package service provided by Woori Financial to overcome the low birthrate crisis and promote a culture of mutual growth in finance. The wedding hall on the 4th floor of the headquarters in Hoehyeon-dong, Jung-gu, Seoul is offered free of charge to vulnerable groups, and 3 million KRW per couple is supported for wedding expenses using the Woori Children Love Fund, which is raised by the labor union and employees.
On this day, Cho Byung-kyu, President of Woori Bank, and Kim Hyun-hoon, Chairman of the Seoul Social Welfare Council, also attended as guests to celebrate the birth of the first couple of Woori WON Wedding Hall. The first couple said, “We never thought about having a wedding due to the financial burden, but thanks to Woori Financial, we were able to create happy memories,” and added, “We hope this program becomes better known to those who are worried about wedding expenses due to economic conditions.”
President Cho said, “We will continue to support to participate in overcoming the low birthrate crisis and fulfill corporate social responsibility,” and added, “We plan to expand the target to focus on vulnerable groups so that more people can use the service.”
