Gwanak-gu (District Mayor Park Jun-hee) invites residents to the ‘Naknak Byeolgil’ festival, which will brightly illuminate Nakseongdae like starlight, perfect for enjoying the cool autumn season.
‘Naknak Byeolgil’ is a festival that carries the meaning of ‘knocking on commercial districts with joy (樂) (Knock)’ and is the second Nakseongdae Star Road festival held following last year.
The district will hold the festival on October 19th from 3 PM to 9 PM around Bongcheon-ro in Inheon-dong near Nakseongdae Station. Through Naknak Byeolgil, they aim to create a harmonious space where merchants and local residents can come together and increase sales for small business owners to revitalize the local economy.
This year’s festival will be especially connected with the nearby Inheon Market. The district formed a ‘Public-Private Festival Promotion Team’ with Inheon Market, the Alley Commercial District Merchants Association, and the Residents’ Autonomy Committee to provide richer food and entertainment.
Along the festival section of Bongcheon-ro, decorative lighting and unique photo zones will be installed to make the festival site shine even brighter.
This festival consists of various programs that residents and merchants can enjoy together, including the ‘Naknak Byeolgil Food Stalls,’ ‘Naknak Byeolgil Playground,’ ‘Naknak Byeolgil Market,’ ‘Naknak Byeolgil Stage,’ and a ‘Stamp Tour.’
At the ‘Naknak Byeolgil Food Stalls,’ visitors can experience the representative menus of Inheon Market, famous for its many popular eateries, and the alley commercial district all in one place.
The ‘Naknak Byeolgil Playground’ will be filled with experience booths where families and friends can enjoy caricatures, character tattoos, and various games. Residents participating in the festival can also enjoy valuable benefits through the ‘Stamp Tour Event.’
The ‘Naknak Byeolgil Stage,’ featuring performances from resident karaoke, busking, popera, various musical instruments, and trot singers, will offer a heartfelt resonance on the deepening autumn nights.
