Executive Director Heo Jonggu visited White Villa in Sanho-dong and delivered a 'certificate of donation for disaster relief supplies' to Changwon Special City Mayor Kang Changyeol, Sanho-dong Chief Lee Donghee, and residents of White Villa.
The dehumidifiers donated by BNK Kyongnam Bank will be provided to 29 households in White Villa, Sanho-dong, who were affected by the heavy rainfall.
On the 21st of last month, a record-breaking downpour of about 500mm caused the boundary retaining wall between Sanho Park and White Villa in Changwon to collapse, forcing nearby residents to evacuate and resulting in significant damage.
Heo, Executive Director of the Changwon Business Headquarters, said, "It was heartbreaking to see so much damage in our region caused by the record-breaking downpour that fell in such a short time. We decided to provide dehumidifiers as disaster relief supplies in hopes that the affected residents can return to their daily lives and that recovery will proceed quickly. Whenever there is sadness or joy in our local community, BNK Kyongnam Bank will always be there."
Meanwhile, prior to donating disaster relief supplies, BNK Kyongnam Bank supported small business owners affected by the fire at Masan Wholesale Market last month by providing 1 billion KRW in management stabilization funds at an ultra-low annual interest rate of 1.5%.
