Gwangju City Holds Road Opening Ceremony in Front of Gwangju Hanam Chamber of Commerce and Industry
Mayor Bang Se-hwan of Gwangju is giving a greeting speech at the opening ceremony held on the 8th after completing the road construction in front of the Gwangju Hanam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Soro 2-103 line).
On the 8th, Gwangju City in Gyeonggi Province completed the road construction in front of the Gwangju Hanam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Soro 2-103 Line) and held an opening ceremony.
The newly opened road expands the existing road in Songjeong-dong, which was difficult for vehicles to pass each other, into a road where pedestrians and vehicles can coexist, a project initiated to improve traffic and pedestrian environments for local residents. Construction began in February.
The project section starts from Gyeonggi Gwangju Post Office, with a total length of 183 meters and a width of 8 meters, and a total project cost of 1.9 billion KRW was invested.
The city expects that the road expansion will greatly alleviate the traffic inconveniences experienced by residents of Songjeong 9-tong, who had been using the narrow existing road.
