Kyongnam Bank Ranks First Overall in the Small and Medium-Sized Category of the 'Domestic Bank Individual Business Loan 119 Excellence Evaluation'
Recognized for Increased Interest Rate Reduction Performance and Enhanced Internal Training
BNK Kyongnam Bank has been recognized for its efforts in practicing mutually beneficial finance and has been selected as an outstanding bank for 'supporting individual business owners'.
BNK Kyongnam Bank announced on the 8th that it ranked first overall in the small and medium-sized category in the '2024 First Half Domestic Banks Individual Business Loan 119 Outstanding Bank Evaluation Results'.
According to the press release '2024 First Half Domestic Banks Individual Business Loan 119 Operation Status' distributed by the Financial Supervisory Service, BNK Kyongnam Bank received high scores in both the quantitative (support performance, 80 points) and non-quantitative (operating system, 20 points) evaluation categories.
In particular, due to achievements such as an increase in interest rate reduction performance and strengthening of internal training, the bank ranked first in both quantitative and non-quantitative categories, securing the top overall position in the small and medium-sized category.
BNK Kyongnam Bank quickly reflected revisions of the 'Individual Business Loan 119 Operation Best Practice Guidelines' in its internal regulations to provide more substantial benefits to individual business loan customers.
Additionally, the bank has strengthened the Individual Business Loan 119 operation system by establishing and improving systems for branch operations and conducting regular training for branch employees.
The Individual Business Loan 119 program, implemented by banks, is a system that supports borrowers who are using individual business loans and are either having difficulty repaying at maturity or are overdue for less than three months. The program offers support such as maturity extensions, interest reductions, interest deferments, and refinancing loans to ease repayment burdens.
Park Sangho, Executive Director of the Customer Marketing Division, stated, "In the first half of this year, the scale of support for Individual Business Loan 119 across the banking sector increased by about 70% compared to last year. This indicates that the circumstances of self-employed individuals, who make up the majority of individual business owners, have worsened compared to last year. As BNK Kyongnam Bank ranked first overall in the small and medium-sized category in the 2024 first half evaluation of outstanding banks for Individual Business Loan 119 and was selected as an outstanding bank for supporting individual business owners, we will continue to take responsibility and strive even harder to practice mutually beneficial finance."
