Lotteria Releases 'Riachae' Burger Embracing Native Burger Spirit for Hangul Day
Refined Typography to Experience the Charm of Hangul Design
Free Distribution on Lotteria Font Site Starting October 9
Lotte GRS announced on the 8th that Lotteria, operated by Lotte GRS, will release a Hangul font called 'Riache' that embodies the 'native burger spirit' of K-burgers to commemorate Hangul Day.
Following the two fonts ‘Chop~Ttaenggyeoche’ and ‘Ttak-Bucheo-che,’ which captivated 200,000 MZ generation users since their release last year, the newly introduced Riache was planned and produced by the Lotte GRS Design Center and TT Seoul to spread the Lotteria spirit, characterized by bold pioneering and unyielding challenging spirit, beyond simple design elements, and to promote the diverse culture contained in K-burgers.
This font is the best representation of Lotteria's identity as Korea's representative hamburger brand, following the K-burger lineup that highlights Korean flavors such as Tongsaewoo Crunchim (KIM) Burger, Bulgogi Poten Burger, and Jeonju Bibim Rice Burger. It features honest and refined shapes that allow people worldwide to appreciate the charm and beauty of Hangul design. In particular, through the signature shape called ‘Ria Rieul (ㄹ),’ efforts were made to embody the philosophy of Ria Real, the pioneering brand story of K-burgers, and the preparation for expansion into the U.S. mainland.
First, the bold version will be distributed on October 9th, Hangul Day, through the Lotteria font website. It can be downloaded for free and is available for use by the entire nation. In February 2025, the bold and basic versions will be released sequentially.
