Jungnang-gu, Recruiting New Volunteers for Dong Camp Activities
Any adult resident interested in volunteering can apply
Jungnang-gu (District Mayor Ryu Kyung-gi) is recruiting new volunteer camp activists to join neighborhood volunteer activities until the 31st of this month.
A "Volunteer Camp" refers to a volunteer hub that promotes volunteer activities at the neighborhood level based on cooperative relationships with volunteer centers and local community centers.
Volunteer activists, who are members of the camp, plan neighborhood programs at the volunteer camp, assist local residents' participation, and serve as community leaders who engage in village-centered volunteer work together.
Once becoming a volunteer activist, individuals will carry out various village-centered volunteer activities in fields such as welfare, environment, and safety by neighborhood.
Volunteer activists are recruited about 10 people per neighborhood, and any adult resident interested in volunteering can apply. To become an activist, applicants must complete more than 5 hours of the activist training course organized by the volunteer center.
For more details and to apply, visit each neighborhood community center or the Jungnang-gu Volunteer Center, or access the Jungnang-gu Office website.
The district expects that by recruiting new volunteer camp activists this time, it will awaken hidden volunteers throughout the region, activate volunteer camps by establishing camps in all 16 neighborhoods, and promote the spread of a sharing culture in Jungnang-gu.
