'20th Living Person'... Daegu Catholic University Successfully Hosts 'Donation and Sponsorship Marathon'

Daegu Catholic University held the 20th charity and sponsorship marathon event, 'Living Person 20th: Keep Running for Sara,' on the 6th at the Hyoseong Campus, with over 1,000 participants including university members and local residents.

View original imageThe event focused more on participation than competition, with courses of 5km, 10km, and 20km along the Daegu Catholic University perimeter trail. On this day, President Sungki Song also completed the 5km course.
The charity and sponsorship marathon has been held annually since 2005 to support impoverished children in countries such as Bolivia and Kazakhstan. This year, it was jointly organized by the sponsorship group 'Living Person' and the Daegu Catholic University Sarang Nanum Volunteer Group.
All proceeds and donations from the event will be used as funds to support impoverished children overseas.
Kim Seongrae, head of the Daegu Catholic University Sarang Nanum Volunteer Group, said, "Through this marathon, all participants came together to practice the value of sharing," and added, "We will continue our efforts to spread the warm wave of sharing throughout our society."
