Companies and Government Collaborate on Youth Employment
The Korea Employers Federation held the 'Youth Leap Membership Network On-site Meeting' at the LG AI Research Institute on the 7th, in collaboration with the Ministry of Employment and Labor. This is a public-private partnership project that discovers companies operating youth employment support programs and supports everything from participant recruitment to program operation and promotion. As of last month, 114 companies have joined the membership.
The meeting was held at the LG AI Research Institute, which operates an artificial intelligence (AI) talent development program. Twenty companies participated, including Samsung Electronics, which runs the Samsung Youth Software Academy, Shinsegae I&C (Sparos Academy), Amorepacific (Beauty Industry Talent Development Program), and RBW (Enter Business Masterclass), sharing information about their programs.
Lim Young-tae, Head of Employment and Social Policy at the Korea Employers Federation, said, "Nurturing and securing young talent is a measure that determines the competitiveness of the nation and companies. Since the role of companies is very important for young people to continuously gain various work experience opportunities, we ask for companies' steady interest and participation."
