The Kkaebi Securities Green Road is an eco-friendly themed social contribution project based on KB Securities' ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) management, aimed at urban environmental restoration through planting projects and creating resting spaces for citizens. Starting with the Nanji Camping Site in Seoul in 2022, last year a large-scale planting project was carried out at Cheonwangsan in Guro-gu, and this year in May, 'Kkaebi Garden with KB Securities' was established at the corporate garden of the Seoul International Garden Expo.
Through this social contribution project, KB Securities collaborated with Gwanak-gu Office to create a loess road within the park trail in the Sillim Valley area, one of the 11 loess road projects currently underway by Seoul Metropolitan Gwanak-gu Office. By creating the loess road, which has recently gained great popularity among citizens and is spreading nationwide, citizens are supported to enjoy leisure activities and use convenience facilities in a pleasant environment.
In particular, various auxiliary facilities such as a clock tower, foot washing station, and shoe racks were installed to ensure comfortable use for citizens walking on the loess road. Additionally, sculptures featuring KB Financial Group’s characters were installed to provide visitors to the Kkaebi Securities Green Road with a unique enjoyment and photo opportunities.
About 150 guests, including Kang Jin-du, Head of Management Support Division (Vice President) of KB Securities, Park Jun-hee, Mayor of Gwanak-gu, Park Dong-chang, Chairman of the Barefoot Walking Movement Headquarters, district council members, and local citizens attended the opening ceremony, which proceeded with congratulatory speeches, a ribbon-cutting ceremony, and a loess road experience.
