Rural Development Corporation Jeonbuk Enters Typhoon Khanun Response Readiness Phase
24-Hour Response System, Pre-Inspection of Disaster Response Facilities
The Jeonbuk Regional Headquarters of the Korea Rural Community Corporation (Head Lee Jeong-moon) announced on the 2nd that it is strengthening its thorough preparedness in response to the northward advance of Typhoon No. 18 'Kkurraton' toward the Korean Peninsula.
According to the Jeonbuk Headquarters, as the possibility of typhoon impact increases, they conducted pre-release of reservoirs and emergency inspections of disaster response facilities in preparation for the typhoon occurrence period.
The Jeonbuk Regional Headquarters of the Korea Rural Community Corporation is conducting an emergency inspection of the Naechon Drainage Pump Station in response to the northward approach of Typhoon No. 18 'Kraton' to the Korean Peninsula.

On that day, the corporation pre-released water from 404 reservoirs. In cases where direct or indirect effects of the typhoon are expected to cause reservoir overflow and facility risks, they took thorough preparations including pre-evacuation of residents to prevent any human casualties.
They are putting all efforts into proactive measures to prevent damage caused by strong winds and heavy rain. They have strengthened pre-inspection activities such as facility checks of disaster-vulnerable sites and securing facilities at construction sites against strong winds, and have launched emergency facility inspections.
