On the 30th, Namyangju City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Joo Gwang-deok) held a security cooperation meeting with about 20 local reserve force commanders responsible for integrated regional defense at the city hall disaster safety situation room.
This meeting was organized to discuss development plans for establishing an integrated defense posture, including the operation of reserve forces and the roles of reserve force captains in towns and townships responsible for regional integrated defense, as well as to encourage their efforts so far.
The meeting was attended by about 30 people, including Mayor Joo Gwang-deok, the commander of the 2nd Battalion of the 170th Regiment of the 55th Infantry Division, and 21 reserve force commanders.
At the meeting, Mayor Joo discussed plans for the development of the reserve forces, encouraged local reserve force commanders, and took time to communicate by listening to difficulties in operating the local reserve forces.
