Bank of Korea Governor Lee Chang-yong Meets Bank Presidents, Urges "Household Debt Stability"
Lee Chang-yong, Governor of the Bank of Korea, requested the banking sector to "manage household debt stably."
According to the Bank of Korea, Governor Lee attended the 'Financial Council' held at 6:30 p.m. on the 30th in the conference hall on the 2nd floor of the Bank of Korea building in Jung-gu, Seoul, where he made this request to Cho Yong-byeong, Chairman of the Korea Federation of Banks, and the heads (representatives) of 16 banks.
He also discussed tasks such as activating transactions of the risk-free benchmark interest rate 'KOFR' and reforming the Bank of Korea's loan system.
