LS Publishes First Sustainability Report… Gu Ja-eun: "Will Inspire Pride and Hope"
Inclusion of Core Strategies Such as CFE New Business and Carbon Neutrality
On the 30th, LS Group published its first Sustainability Management Report.
The report's title and slogan, "Link to Sustainability," embody the meaning that all businesses conducted by LS are connected to a sustainable future, creating the future that humanity aspires to.
Regarding this report, LS explained that it was published "to explain the group's sustainability management strategies, current status, and key achievements at the holding company level, and to actively communicate with various stakeholders." In his greeting, Koo Ja-eun, Chairman of LS Group, stated, "The ultimate goal of sustainability management is for all management elements that constitute the company?such as LS's business, strategy, operations, and organizational culture?to converge and optimize for a sustainable world." He added, "We will achieve 'Vision 2030' through 'ambidextrous management,' which maximizes synergy between existing core businesses and future new businesses, instilling pride and hope in various stakeholders that they can grow together with LS."
In this report, LS presented key strategies for sustainability management, including promoting stakeholder engagement, advancing the foundation of sustainability management, leading new CFE businesses, achieving carbon neutrality, and spreading happiness and respect. It also disclosed major achievements and plans related to these strategies. To provide transparent management performance, the report includes consolidated results not only for LS Group but also for major affiliates such as LS Cable & System, LS Electric, LS MnM, and LS Mtron. The section on advancing the foundation of sustainability management covers topics such as board operation, integrated group risk management, shareholder rights protection, and compliance and ethical management systems, emphasizing LS's goal to grow together with all stakeholders.

In the carbon neutrality section, the report specifically states that key LS companies, including LS Cable & System, which joined the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), and LS Electric, the first in the domestic heavy electrical industry to join the global RE100, will gradually achieve carbon neutrality by 2050.
