View original imageThe CCTV footage released by JTBC on the 26th shows a man wearing a short-sleeved T-shirt walking down the street, swinging his right arm back and forth, following behind a woman before suddenly swinging a weapon.
Immediately after the attack, the woman collapsed, and the man fled toward a parking lot beside the street.
The Suncheon Police in Jeollanam-do have booked and are investigating a man in his 30s, identified as A, on suspicion of murdering a teenage boy. A is suspected of stabbing Ms. B (18) multiple times with a weapon on a street in Jorye-dong, Suncheon City, around 12:44 a.m. that day and fleeing the scene. Ms. B was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment but ultimately passed away.
After the crime, A wandered the streets in a heavily intoxicated state and got into an argument with a passerby around 3 a.m. He was arrested by police who responded to the report. At the time of the argument with the passerby, he was not carrying a weapon.
According to the police investigation, it was confirmed that A wandered about 1.5 km in an intoxicated state for approximately two hours from the time of the crime until his arrest. A weapon believed to have been used in the crime was found in a parking lot along the route he wandered.
