The 'Companion Animal Festival' will be held this weekend at Jeonbuk National University. It is organized to raise awareness of the importance of companion animals in our lives and to promote animal welfare consciousness.
According to Jeonbuk National University on the 25th, the event will take place on the 28th from 1 PM at the Sowoon Stadium on the Jeonju campus of Jeonbuk National University, featuring various activities such as experience booths and lectures related to companion animals. The event is hosted by the College of Veterinary Medicine Student Council and supported by the National University Promotion Project, the Korean Veterinary Medical Association, and the Jeonbuk Veterinary Medical Association.

At the event, a companion animal sports competition will provide an enjoyable time for owners and their pets together. Various side events will also be held, including companion animal health checkups, owner OX quizzes, companion animal toys and photo cards, and ID card making.
Veterinarian Min-Kyung Chae will give a lecture titled 'Reading the Mind of Companion Dogs.' The lecture will convey ways for companion dogs and their owners to accompany each other and foster responsibility, and a one-day veterinarian experience will be offered for children aspiring to become future veterinarians.

Dean Sang-Yeol Park of the College of Veterinary Medicine said, "We organized this event hoping it will be a time to deeply understand the behavior and psychology of companion animals that have been part of our lives through various educational programs and events," adding, "We hope many residents participate and happily spend their autumn weekend with their companion animals."
