DB Insurance Obtains 6-Month Exclusive Rights for 'Chejeunhyeong 3 Major Disease Diagnosis Benefit'
DB Insurance announced on the 24th that the 'Increasing Type Diagnosis Benefit for the Three Major Diseases,' newly introduced on the 1st of last month, has obtained a 6-month exclusive usage right.
The New Product Review Committee of the General Insurance Association highly evaluated the originality and usefulness of the new benefit method, which sequentially increases insurance payouts upon the occurrence of the three major diseases (cancer, cerebrovascular disease, ischemic heart disease) in the special clause for the increasing type diagnosis benefit for the three major diseases, first developed by DB Insurance, and granted a 6-month exclusive usage right.
67.7% of DB Insurance customers tend to subscribe to the three major diseases as separate special clauses simultaneously. This is because customers cannot know in advance which of the three major diseases they might contract, and due to the high risk of all three major diseases, they tend to subscribe to all. DB Insurance newly developed this special clause to offer lower premiums than subscribing separately to cancer, cerebrovascular, and ischemic heart disease special clauses, and to enhance customer convenience by simplifying insurance claims and premium waiver requests through integrated coverage.
The special clause provides coverage until all three major diseases occur. In the case of the generally sold diagnosis benefits for the three major diseases so far, the special clause would terminate upon the first occurrence of any of the three major diseases. However, under this special clause, after the first occurrence of any of the three major diseases, the premium for this special clause is waived, and coverage continues without termination for the remaining risks. Additionally, with the increasing benefit upon each occurrence of the three major diseases, customers receive higher insurance payouts during periods of income loss.

A DB Insurance official stated, "This special clause integrates coverage for the three major diseases into one, making premiums affordable and unifying premium waiver claims, thereby reducing customer inconvenience," and added, "We will continue to actively strive to develop various products for our customers."
