Inspection of 17 Kindergarten and Academy Shuttle Buses
Safety Management Compliance Check According to Road Traffic Act
The Busan Southern Office of Education (Superintendent Chun Eunsook) will conduct a 'Joint Inspection of Children's School Buses for the Second Half of the Year' in collaboration with related organizations such as local governments, the police agency, and the Korea Transportation Safety Authority at Busan Citizens Park on the 25th to create a safe commuting environment.
This inspection will target a total of 17 vehicles, including 8 kindergarten buses and 9 academy buses in the area. The vehicles will come to the outdoor parking lot of Busan Citizens Park to be inspected.
The Southern Office of Education will focus on checking compliance with safety management requirements under the Road Traffic Act, including: ▲whether the children's school buses are registered and operating as reported, ▲whether they are covered by comprehensive insurance, ▲whether operators, drivers, and attendants have completed safety education, ▲whether quarterly safe driving records are submitted, and ▲whether the vehicle structure and equipment are appropriate.
For minor violations found during the inspection, guidance and corrective actions will be taken on site, while intentional or gross negligence violations will be reported to relevant agencies and subject to administrative action to prevent safety accidents involving children's school buses.

Chun Eunsook, Superintendent of the Southern Office of Education, said, "Through this inspection, we plan not only to proactively eliminate risk factors for children's school buses, but also to thoroughly check whether operators are complying with safety regulations," and added, "The Office of Education will take the lead in creating a safe traffic environment in close cooperation with the local community."
