Changwon Special City in Gyeongnam announced on the 24th that it held the opening ceremony for the '2024 Korea Business Shooting Federation President's Cup National Shooting Competition' at the convention hall of Changwon Convention Center.

View original imageThis competition is hosted by the Korea Business Shooting Federation and organized by the Gyeongnam Shooting Federation. It is being held at the Changwon International Shooting Range for six days from the 23rd to the 28th. A total of 1,500 athletes and officials from 238 teams, including Paris Olympic medalists Kim Yeji, Yang Jiin, Oh Yejin, Cho Youngjae, Geum Jihyun, and Park Hajun, are participating, with athletes competing in all events from international competitions.
The Korea Business Shooting Federation President's Cup National Shooting Competition began in 2009 and is now in its 16th year, with 13 of the tournaments having been held in Changwon, the city of shooting.
In particular, this year's competition has been elevated to a major tournament after being officially recognized by the Korea Shooting Federation in May. Teams from middle schools, high schools, universities, and the general public are participating, making it a major-level event and an important opportunity to advance the skills of Korean shooting. Records set during the competition are recognized as an important benchmark for assessing the current level of Korean shooting.
The finals of the competition will be broadcast live on spoTV, Naver TV, Kakao TV, and YouTube TV, allowing many shooting fans across the country to watch the athletes' impressive performances in real time, which is expected to further increase public interest.
