Starbucks Unveils First Subscription Service 'Buddy Pass'... "30% Discount for 9,900 KRW per Month"
Monthly subscription fee 9,900 won... 3-month pilot operation
Includes 30% discount coupons for manufactured beverages & food
Starbucks Korea announced on the 24th that it will pilot its subscription service, 'Buddy Pass,' starting from the 1st of next month to celebrate the 25th anniversary of its opening.
Buddy Pass is Starbucks' first subscription service, consisting of a 30% discount coupon for handcrafted beverages available daily, a 30% discount on food, free delivery fees for Delivers, and free shipping coupons for the online store. The subscription fee is 9,900 KRW for 30 days, and the pilot will run for about three months from October 1 to December 31.
The 30% discount coupon for handcrafted beverages, issued once daily, can be used from 2 PM and applies to regular handcrafted beverages. It can be used with all Starbucks ordering methods, including POS orders, Siren Order, and Delivers.
The 30% food discount coupon is provided once a month, while the free delivery fee coupon for Delivers (1 coupon) and free shipping coupon for the online store (2 coupons) offer free delivery benefits when a minimum order amount is met. All these coupons can be used in conjunction with the 30% discount coupon for handcrafted beverages.
Starbucks will hold a pre-notification event for the service opening for one week starting today. Customers who apply for the pre-notification and subscribe to the service after its launch will receive a buy-one-get-one-free coupon for handcrafted beverages when using the 30% discount coupon for handcrafted beverages.
During the three-month pilot period of the subscription service, Starbucks plans to analyze the actual benefits gained by users and review whether to continue the operation.
