LG Chem to Supply Cathode Materials to Toyota-Panasonic Battery Joint Venture
On the 22nd, LG Chem announced that it will supply cathode materials to the Japanese battery manufacturer 'Prime Planet Energy & Solutions (PPES)'.
PPES is a Japanese joint venture between Toyota and Panasonic, supplying batteries for electric vehicles to global EV manufacturers including Toyota.
LG Chem plans to supply cathode materials to the PPES factory in Japan by 2026. In line with PPES's low-carbon vision, the company will focus on developing innovative materials and process technologies that minimize environmental impact while producing high-performance batteries.
