20 Cases of Damage Including Temporary Sidewalk Flooding Near Construction Site in Pungdong, Ilsandong-gu
Fire officials are installing a temporary road after a temporary sidewalk near a construction site on Anyigol-gil, Pung-dong, Ilsandong-gu was flooded due to heavy rain around 4:26 p.m. on the 20th.
Starting from the 20th, heavy rainfall in the northern Gyeonggi region caused continuous damage such as fallen trees and flooding.
In Pung-dong, Ilsandong-gu, Goyang City, a report was received around 4:26 PM on the 20th that a temporary sidewalk near a construction site was flooded. Currently, the temporary road (sidewalk) installation has been confirmed, and safety guidance has been provided to prepare for additional flooding damage due to increased rainfall.
According to the Seoul Metropolitan Weather Administration on the 21st, the accumulated rainfall from the previous day until 8 AM on the 21st was recorded as follows: Dongducheon 111.4 mm, Namyangju 98.5 mm, Jindong, Paju 81 mm, Singok, Uijeongbu 77 mm, Gunnam, Yeoncheon 71 mm, and Goyang 66.5 mm.
Due to the heavy rain, safety accidents such as fallen trees and flooding occurred continuously in most areas.
According to the fire department, a total of 20 reports of heavy rain damage were received in the northern Gyeonggi region from 4 PM the previous day to 7 AM on the 21st.
The water level of Pilsunggyo Bridge on the Imjin River in Yeoncheon County also exceeded 1 meter, the "flood season river recreation evacuation level." According to the Han River Flood Control Office, as of 8:50 AM on the 21st, the water level at Pilsunggyo Bridge was 1.48 meters.
The water level of the Gunnam Flood Control Dam downstream of Pilsunggyo Bridge rose continuously overnight but is currently gradually decreasing. As of 8:50 AM on the 21st, the discharge rate is 770 tons per second, and the inflow rate is 692 tons per second.
