Chuseok Holiday Train Passengers '2.81 Million'... 1.8 Million Passengers on the 18th, Highest Among All Holidays

View original imageOn the 20th, Korea Railroad Corporation (KORAIL) announced that from the 13th to the 18th, 1.74 million passengers (an average of 290,000 per day) used KTX, and 1.07 million passengers (an average of 180,000 per day) used regular trains.
The average daily number of train passengers during the same period was 470,000. By date, the numbers were ▲ 487,000 on the 13th ▲ 454,000 on the 14th ▲ 436,000 on the 15th ▲ 445,000 on the 16th ▲ 485,000 on the 17th ▲ 505,000 on the 18th.
In particular, on the last day of the holiday when many returning travelers used KTX, a total of 314,633 passengers were recorded, marking the highest number during any holiday period in history.
