Selected for Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs Public Project... 2.93 Billion KRW Invested
A smart horticultural complex will be established in Yesan, South Chungcheong Province. This will be the third such complex in the province, following Buyeo and Dangjin.
The South Chungcheong Provincial Government announced on the 19th that Yesan County has been selected for the smart horticultural complex development project, which is overseen by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs.
The province plans to invest a total of 2.93 billion KRW, combining 2.051 billion KRW in national funds with provincial and county funds, to build the horticultural complex.
Once established, the horticultural complex is expected to enable stable production regardless of climate change, thereby increasing farmers' incomes. The construction of educational, experiential, and tourism facilities is also expected to revitalize agriculture and rural communities.
A provincial official stated, "Through the establishment of this horticultural complex, we will scale up and organize facility horticulture farms to strengthen their competitiveness and bargaining power. As it will be built within the Naepo Agricultural Life Convergence Industry Cooperation Complex, we will utilize the related infrastructure to lead the Fourth Industrial Revolution in the agricultural sector."
