Earlier that day, while Trump was playing golf at his own golf course in Palm Beach, Florida, an assassination attempt occurred. A Secret Service (SS) agent assigned to protect Trump spotted a suspect aiming an AK-series rifle at him and fired shots. The suspect dropped the firearm and fled the scene in a sport utility vehicle (SUV) but was later arrested by the police.
