Actress Suddenly Collapses at Gangnam Station, "Thankful to the Station Staff Who Covered My Face"

Actress Park Hwan-hee expressed her gratitude after fainting while using public transportation and receiving help from station staff and others.

On the 12th, Park Hwan-hee posted on social media (SNS), "Today, I was happily and energetically heading to the academy when I suddenly collapsed on the stairs at Gangnam Station due to dizziness and abdominal pain without any prior symptoms," adding, "I am very, very thankful to the two citizens who came to me, called 119, and cared for me until the end, as well as the station staff at Gangnam Station. May you be blessed."

She also expressed her gratitude for the station staff member who recognized her and covered her face during the incident, saying, "Thank you so much to the station staff who covered my face while recognizing me." Later, she shared a photo of herself on the subway and reassured, "I am perfectly fine now," and "It seems like it’s something that gets better after a short rest."

Park Hwan-hee gained recognition after appearing in KBS 2TV's "Descendants of the Sun" in 2016 and recently appeared in "Law Money," "Wedding Battle," and "Dakgangjeong." She has previously revealed that she is battling fibromyalgia. Fibromyalgia is a type of rheumatic disease characterized by chronic widespread pain, fatigue, sleep disturbances, and tender points. It was formerly known as fibrositis or fibromyositis. Although fibromyalgia is less familiar compared to general muscle pain, it is relatively common, accounting for about 20% of patients visiting rheumatology clinics. It is estimated that about 2-4% of the total population suffers from it. Chronic pain occurs across the neck, lower back, both shoulders, and limbs on both sides and upper and lower parts of the body. Symptoms such as fatigue and sleep disturbances commonly accompany the pain.

Park Hwan-hee has one son with her ex-husband, rapper Bill Stax. She married rapper Bill Stax in July 2011 and gave birth to their son the following year. They divorced by mutual agreement in April 2013, and their son is being raised by Bill Stax.
