Busan Gijang County, Jeonggwan Jwagwangcheon Streamside Chuseok Hometown Road Clean-up Efforts
Over 100 Members from 4 Social Organizations in Jeonggwan-eup Participate
Gijang-gun, Busan carried out the 'Residents Maintain Jwagwangcheon Themselves' activity in the Jwagwangcheon area of Jeonggwan-eup on the 12th in celebration of Chuseok.
This environmental cleanup was organized to provide a pleasant and safe environment for visitors returning to their hometowns for Chuseok by conducting maintenance activities before the holiday.
The cleanup was conducted jointly by the Jeonggwan-eup Residents' Autonomous Committee (Chairman Moon Jaecheol), Jeonggwan-eup Village Leaders' Council (Chairman Choi Jinho), Jeonggwan-eup Saemaeul Leaders' Council (Chairman Kim Daeyeol), and Jeonggwan-eup Saemaeul Women's Association (Chairwoman An Yongja). About 100 people participated, including members of the Residents' Autonomous Committee, village leaders, Saemaeul leaders and women's association members, as well as staff from the county's Forest Park Division and Jeonggwan-eup office.
The participants worked hard to create a clean environment by picking up trash and cleaning unsanitary areas along the approximately 3.5 km walking and bicycle path from Mojeon Bridge to Dareum Bridge in Jeonggwan-eup.

County Governor Jeong Jongbok said, "I would like to thank the members of Jeonggwan-eup's social organizations for participating in the environmental cleanup to make Jwagwangcheon clean for Chuseok despite the hot weather," and added, "We will continue to cooperate between the public and private sectors to maintain a pleasant and beautiful Jwagwangcheon."
