US Far-Right Activist Raises 'Earring Earphone' Conspiracy Theory
Harris Supporter Refutes with "Luxury Brand Earring Product"

In the first TV debate among U.S. presidential candidates, where Kamala Harris, the Democratic candidate, was widely regarded as having the upper hand, a conspiracy theory emerged claiming that "Vice President Harris wore earring-shaped earbuds during the debate."

According to CBS News on the 11th (local time), far-right activist Laura Loomer claimed, "The earrings Harris wore during the TV debate resemble wireless earbuds." Loomer posted a photo on her X (formerly Twitter) comparing Harris's earrings to earring-shaped earbuds, targeting Harris by saying, "Tonight's choice of earrings is interesting."

The product Loomer posted is the H1 model from NOVA, designed to look like pearl earrings. Since all materials were prohibited during the debate, Loomer's claim has caused a stir. In fact, after Loomer raised the suspicion, the Google search frequency for the product surged. Additionally, Trump supporters have been retweeting related articles and spreading photos comparing Vice President Harris's earrings to earbuds, further amplifying the allegation.

Harris Supporters Rebut, "Earrings from a Luxury Brand"

In response, Harris supporters countered that the earrings in question are from a luxury brand. According to supporters, they are believed to be Tiffany's 'South Sea' pearl earrings. It has been confirmed that Harris wore the same earrings during a campaign rally in Pennsylvania last month and at the Juneteenth concert held at the White House in June.

CBS also analyzed, "At first glance, they look similar, but there are differences in detail," adding, "The earbuds wrap around the earlobe, whereas Harris's earrings dangle and are in a piercing style."
