Lee Kiyong, Chairman of the Victims' Countermeasure Committee, expressed his gratitude, saying, "Although the market should be bustling ahead of the peak season, everyone is feeling heavy-hearted due to the sudden fire damage. However, the warm support from all walks of life has been a great source of strength."
Kang Changyeol, head of Masan Happo-gu Office, said, "We will actively work to ensure that the merchants and stores affected by the fire can recover as quickly as possible."
Meanwhile, some of the affected merchants are working hard in temporary stalls and sales booths, putting their pain behind them as the peak season approaches.
The daily necessities were prepared with the support of the Masan Branch of the Volunteer Organizations Council (30 sets of daily necessities), the Masan Jungang High School Alumni Association (30 blankets), and Sogye Sangsa (30 sacks of rice), and will be delivered to merchants who have fallen into despair due to the fire damage.
