Yeongyang County Press Association Shares Warmth for Chuseok
Donations to Talent Development Scholarship Foundation and Contributions for Neighbors in Need
The Yeongyang County Press Association donated a scholarship of 1 million KRW for nurturing local talent and goods (cooking oil sets worth about 1 million KRW) for neighbors in need to Yeongyang County on the 10th in celebration of Chuseok.
The Yeongyang County Press Association strives to uphold the public's right to know and serve the public interest. In addition to its primary role in the media, it sets a social example by practicing love for neighbors through volunteer work and donations for vulnerable groups across various fields.
Chairman Nam Seungmo expressed his heartfelt thoughts, saying, "I feel deep gratitude and joy to be able to share a bit of warmth with our local neighbors," and added, "I hope this donation will become a beacon of hope for those in need, beyond simple material support. Our press association will continue to do our best to practice the value of sharing in partnership with the local community."
County Governor Oh Dochang said, "Thank you for your affection and interest in our region," and added, "The donated scholarship and goods will provide hope and opportunities for the future talents of Yeongyang and will be delivered with care to neighbors in need."
Through the sharing activities of the Yeongyang County Press Association, it is expected that warmth will be delivered to marginalized groups in the region and that the growth of local talent will be further promoted.
