World No. 34 Byeonghun An will compete on the domestic stage next month.
He will participate in the 2024 Genesis Championship (total prize money $4 million) held on October 24 at Jack Nicklaus Golf Club Korea in Songdo, Incheon. Through the tournament organizing committee on the 10th, Byeonghun An said, "Playing in front of fans in my homeland is truly a special experience, and the enthusiastic support from the fans is the driving force that allows me to perform at my best."
This season, Byeonghun An made five top-10 finishes on the PGA Tour and advanced to the Tour Championship, the final event of the FedEx Cup Playoffs. He also represented South Korea alongside Juhyung Kim at the 2024 Paris Olympics. Earlier, the tournament organizing committee announced that Juhyung Kim, ranked 23rd in the world, will also participate in the Genesis Championship.

This tournament has been merged with the Korea Championship starting this year. It is jointly hosted by the DP World Tour (formerly the European Tour) and the Korea Professional Golfers' Association (KPGA) Tour. Thirty players from the KPGA Tour and ninety players from the DP World Tour will compete for the championship. The defending champion is veteran Sanghyun Park.
