Gijang-eup, Gijang-gun, Busan Launches 'Smart Baeksein Saeng' Project for Digitally Vulnerable Groups
Smartphone Usage and Voice Phishing Prevention for Seniors
The Gijang-eup Administrative Welfare Center in Gijang-gun, Busan (headed by Lee Sangshik) recently launched the "Smart Hundred-Year Life" program, which provides education on smartphone usage and voice phishing prevention for local seniors.
This program, a specialized initiative by the Gijang-eup Community Social Security Council (chaired by Kwon Myoyeon), was conducted twice, on the 2nd and 5th of this month.
With 20 seniors participating, the education covered topics such as efficient smartphone usage, how to use mobile health insurance cards, connecting Bluetooth devices, and response methods to actual voice phishing cases.
One of the participating seniors said, "I have always found smartphones difficult to use, but through this program, I was able to easily learn the necessary skills. It was especially helpful to learn about voice phishing prevention, making it a very beneficial experience."

Lee Sangshik, head of Gijang-eup, stated, "I hope this program helps seniors use smart devices more easily and utilize various information and data safely. We will continue to prepare diverse welfare programs that can assist seniors in their daily lives."
