The Gwangju Regional Tax Office (Commissioner Park Gwangjong) held a traditional market shopping event at Gwangju Yangdong Market and Jeonju Wansan 'Nambu Market' on the 9th ahead of the Chuseok holiday.
This event was organized to comfort market merchants who are struggling due to the ongoing heatwave and high inflation, as well as the complex economic crisis, and to bring some vitality to the stores.
Commissioner Park Gwangjong and executives visited the Yangdong Market Merchants' Association executives and the association office for an informal communication session.
Commissioner Park promised, "We will consider what role the Gwangju Regional Tax Office can play to help recover domestic demand and provide support. Despite recent significant difficulties, we will implement maximum tax administration support so that self-employed and small business owners who protect traditional markets and alleyway commercial districts can feel it on the ground."
